NCFE Certificate in teaching in the Life Long Learning Sector Level 3 and 4
This qualification is aimed at those intending to fulfil an Associate Teacher role. It covers the key principles and practice of teaching, learning and assessment. The Associate Teacher role is described in accordance with the LLUK profile as laid out in Developing qualifications for teachers, tutors and trainers in the lifelong learning sector in England. The qualification has been developed by Lifelong Learning UK in consultation with Awarding Bodies and providers as part of the teaching qualifications framework (TQF) for the FE sector. The Level 3 Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector is suitable for all new teachers in the sector and provides the minimum statutory standards for all those entering the teaching profession in the Associate Teaching role. Learners achieving the qualification will gain a licence to practice and gain Associate Teacher, Learning and Skills (ATLS) status. It’s suitable for learners aged 18 and above.
